International Architectural Competition Award
Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Building Remodeling
It is our great pleasure to announce that ARPADOM has been officially awarded the
prestigious 3rd place at the International Architectural Competition ran by the
Chinese Government regarding the complete architectural design proposal for the
upcoming Chinese Cultural Center Building of the People’s Republic of China Embassy.
Our architectural design proposition was judged by two different committees both
in China and Greece, in two different phases of the competition. Members of the
committees were both Chinese officials and government assigned independent
Architectural firms from China.
Our proposal

Our design brought together the past and the future of the Chinese culture by including
custom made elaborate architectural elements. Our main idea was to enclose the
building within a virtual bamboo forest which is a symbol of wisdom and people’s struggle
in Chinese culture
Award
Being awarded the 3rd place at the International Architectural Competition for one of the
biggest and more powerful nations on earth is highly fulfilling for us. It gives us the
necessary energy and motivation to further improve. And that we will so stay tuned!
